Dove Recovery House
The Miss Indianapolis Pageant has worked with the Dove Recovery House since 2020.
Dove recovery house is the largest recovery house program for women in Marion County and is certified as a level IV Recovery Residence.
Dove house serves 40 women each night and more than 80 women annually. In 2019, 73% of client's successfully completed the Dove House Program. At Dove house, we serve the most vulnerable women in our community-women who have experienced physical, emotional and sexual abuse; women who have experienced homelessness; women who are struggling with substance abuse use and disorder and have nowhere else to turn.
What even further distinguishes Dove House is that all programming is offered FREE of charge to clients; it costs $300/week per client, but the cost is completely covered by grants, corporate supporters, and individual supporters.
Dove recovery house served 85 women in 2019. From the 85 women 84% reunited with family and children; 73% successfully completed the program; 73% are employed, Volunteering, in training, or in school. Average wait list is 4-6 months at DOVE.

Young Miss Indianapolis, Cora Mae, regularly volunteers by serving meals at the Fait Mission of Elkhart, Inc.
Johnson County Good Cheer
Senior Queen of Queens, Nikita, volunteers with the Johnson County Good Cheer to hand out baskets of canned goods to needy families every Christmas.
Sullivan County Community Hospital
Teen Miss Indianapolis, Lauren, made and donated baby hats to the Sullivan County Community Hospital Nicu.
Sullivan County Food Drive
Teen Miss Indianapolis, Lauren, is at the Sullivan fairgrounds hanging out free meals to those in need.
Carmel Marathon
The 2021 Miss Indianapolis Queens volunteered at the Carmel Marathon & raised $150 in donations for
DOVE Recovery House.
Jennifer's Harbor
Mrs. Indianapolis, Lori, volunteered at a Princess Party to help raise money for Jennifer's Harbor.
